Fall Collections of the 2024 Designers-in-Residence at the Philadelphia Fashion Incubator

Philadelphia's fashion community gathered for an exclusive first look at the highly anticipated fall collections of the 2024 Designers-in-Residence at the Philadelphia Fashion Incubator (PFI). This preview event, held at PFI’s vibrant new space in historic Fabric Row, showcased the groundbreaking collections of the five emerging designers shaping the future of fashion in the city.

The Fall Preview not only highlighted the exceptional creativity of the 2024 cohort but also celebrated PFI’s ongoing commitment to fostering Philadelphia's local design talent. Attendees, including fashion enthusiasts, industry leaders, and media, were treated to an evening of high fashion, innovation, and a glimpse into what’s next in the world of fashion.

"We are thrilled to present our Designers-in-Residence's fall collections and give the public a sneak peek of what these incredibly talented individuals have been working on," said Elissa Bloom, Executive Director of the Philadelphia Fashion Incubator. "The work of our designers speaks to the heart of Philadelphia’s creative spirit, combining innovation, sustainability, and unique personal stories. Our new space in Fabric Row provides the perfect backdrop to celebrate their achievements."

The 2024 Designers-in-Residence featured in the Fall Preview include:

  • Elmira Vandenberg, founder of Elmira Vandenberg, specializing in women's evening wear.

  • Assim De Gabriel, founder of Assim De Gabriel, presenting contemporary menswear.

  • Monshell Reyes, founder of Monshell Latisse, known for her distinct vision in womenswear.

  • Renee Antoine, founder of Renee France Designs, featuring upcycled and art-to-wear creations.

  • Rosa Agliata, founder of My Italian Lifestyle, a luxury fashion styling and leather accessories brand.

The collections presented at the event reflect the diverse approaches of each designer, blending timeless craftsmanship with modern sensibilities and sustainable practices. The new collections will be available for preview and purchase at PFI’s hybrid retail lab and studio, located at 706 S. 4th Street.

The Philadelphia Fashion Incubator has long been a cornerstone of the city’s fashion scene. Since its founding in 2012, PFI has supported over 60 fashion brands, many of which have gone on to achieve national and international recognition. With its new space in Fabric Row, the Incubator continues its mission to nurture and grow Philadelphia’s next generation of fashion entrepreneurs.
